Motion for Charging Order

            The Court posts this tentative order on Friday, February 2, 2024.  The Court provides notice: If Defendants’ counsel does not request a hearing by emailing the Court’s clerk, Roberto Mendoza, on or before Monday, February 5, 2024, at 8:30 a.m., the Court will take the hearing off-calendar and will grant the motion.  The Court’s clerk may be reached at: SMCDept39@LACourt.org. 

            Plaintiffs MHJ Group, Inc. and Kai Hou Liang obtained a judgment against Defendants Ji Li and AA Sunrise, Inc. in the total amount of $7.7 million.  Now, Plaintiffs seek a charging order against Defendant AA Sunrise, Inc.’s interest in Yorba Linda Gardens, LLC.  Defendants filed no opposition to this motion, and the Court finds no basis in the record to deny this motion.  Therefore, good cause having been shown, the Court grants the motion and signs the proposed order.  Plaintiffs’ counsel shall provide notice and file proof of such with the Court.
