On August 13, 2021, plaintiff Robert DeVries presented to defendant Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital via ambulance as a result of breathing difficulty caused from a preexisting condition, chronic pulmonary obstructive pulmonary disease. Upon placing a breathing device onto Plaintiff, the nurse allegedly caused significant injury to the eye of Plaintiff, resulting in a detached retina and partial blindness.

On August 8, 2022, Plaintiff filed a complaint for medical negligence/medical malpractice.

RULING: Granted

Counsel for plaintiff Robert DeVries moves to be relieved as counsel of record, due to a breakdown of the attorney client relationship.

The unopposed motion is granted.

Order not effective until service on the client.
