Petition for Approval of Minor’s Compromise for Claimant Binti-Michal Decohen-Miller (Age 7).

Tentative:

The Court excuses the personal appearance of the claimant and the guardian ad litem. Counsel may appear by telephone or video conference call.  

The Court has reviewed the petition to approve minor’s compromise and proposed orders submitted on March 21, 2025. The Court notes the following issues must be resolved before the petition can be granted.

First, the petition and the declaration regarding unreimbursed medical bills are not signed by Petitioner.  Rather than a signature, the words “All Rights Reserved” appear on the signature lines.  The Court cannot review or approve an unsigned petition.

Second, Item 16 of the Petition appears to be incorrect.  This item lists the total to be reimburse as $67,657.37, but the correct number appears to be $61,657.37.

Accordingly, the Court continues the hearing re Petition for Approval of Minor’s Compromise for Binti-Michal Decohen-Miller (Age 7) to __/__/2025 at 01:30 P.M. in Department 29 at Spring Street Courthouse.
