Petition for Approval of Minor’s Compromise for Claimant Mikhael Dean (Age 10).

Tentative: 

The Court excuses the personal appearance of the claimant and the guardian ad litem. Counsel may appear by telephone or video conference call.   

Petitioner filed a Petition for Approval of Minor’s Compromise and proposed orders on May 5, 2025. The Court has reviewed the petition and finds the following issues must be addressed before the Petition can be granted. 

First, on Item 13a of the petition, Petitioner incorrectly lists attorney’s fees as $1,000,000. 

Second, on Item 13b of the petition, Petitioner incorrectly lists costs to be reimbursed as $65,0565.29. 

Third, on the proposed order filed on form MC-351, Item 1 lists the incorrect date for the hearing. 

Fourt, on the proposed order filed on form MC-351, Item 8a(4) lists two different amounts to be paid to Medi-Cal. 

The Petition is denied without prejudice.  Petitioner may submit a new petition and proposed order addressing these issues.
