Petition to Approve Compromise of Disputed Claim of a Minor (Charlene Chen, Age 9)

TENTATIVE 

The Court excuses the personal appearance of the claimant and the guardian ad litem. Counsel may appear by telephone or video conference call.  

The Court has reviewed the March 11, 2024 filed Petition for Minor’s Compromise, the third attempt by Petitioner. There is still an error of arithmetic as to the costs requested. Petitioner claims $764.95 in costs on line 13b and 16d, however, the total of the expenses provided is approximately $22 higher ($786.73).

The Court assumes that counsel is waiving any request to the additional approximately $22.  (See Ma Decl., ¶ 8 [stating, under oath, that counsel is seeking to recover the amount of $764.95 in costs].)

With that understanding, the petition is GRANTED.  All substantive and procedural requirements are satisfied.

Moving party is ordered to give notice.
