TENTATIVE 

The Court excuses the personal appearance of the claimants and the guardian ad litem. Counsel may appear by telephone or video conference call.  

The Court has reviewed the ¿Petition to Approve Compromise of Disputed Claim of a Minor, Esteban Varela, age 12¿.

The Court has reviewed the ¿Petition to Approve Compromise of Disputed Claim of a Minor, Alexander Varela, age 16¿.

The Court finds that both settlements are reasonable, and based thereon, approves and GRANTS the two petitions. 

The Court has considered the Declarations of Carl Kramer in support of the fee request. The Court finds that on the current record, and in consideration of the factors set forth in Cal Rules of Court, Rule 7.955(b), the requested fee is reasonable.  

The Court approves the requested distributions of the net proceeds from each settlement into a blocked account. 

Order to Show Cause Re: Proof of Deposit is scheduled for 03/21/2024 at 08:30 AM in
Department 29 at Spring Street Courthouse.


No appearance required if receipt filed. 

Moving parties are ordered to give notice.
