    DISCLOSURE AND ORDER

Judge Beaudet hereby discloses that a person who is a plaintiff in the case against Southern California Edison Company regarding the Malibu fire (aka the Woolsey fire) has been staying with her and her husband since December 8, 2021, and he may be staying with them for the foreseeable future.  He is represented by the McNicholas firm in connection with the Malibu fire in Case 20STCV22089.  His case is part of a coordinated case over which Judge Highberger is presiding. He did not have insurance that covered the fire.

Judge Beaudet does not believe that the situation described above will cause her to be biased for or against any party in this case.  However, if you believe differently, you will have until October 27, 2022 to file IN DEPT 50 and serve a verified statement of disqualification per CCP 170.3(c)(1) (the “Statement”).  If you do not file and serve a Statement, grounds for recusal will be deemed waived. If the parties do not waive the disclosure, the pending Informal Discovery Conference will be continued to October 31, 2022, at 3:30 p.m. in Department 50.

Plaintiff is ordered to give notice of this Disclosure and Order.
