| ORDER RE: PLAINTIFF’S REQUEST FOR DEFAULT JUDGMENT | ||
Plaintiff Michael Francati (“Plaintiff”) requests entry of default judgment against Defendant Dexter Tiewon Gore, Jr., aka Famous Dex (“Defendant”). Plaintiff seeks an award of $49,000.00 in damages.
The Court notes that its March 2, 2023 Order on Plaintiff’s prior request for default judgment provides, inter alia, that “[t]he Court finds that Plaintiff has sufficiently supported his request with the submitted declarations and evidence. However, the Court notes that Items 1(a) and 1(b) of the Request for Court Judgment (Form CIV-100) are blank. In addition, although proofs of service were filed with Plaintiff’s default judgment package, Item 6(b)(1)-(2) of Form CIV-100 is blank.”[1] On March 9, 2023, Plaintiff filed a revised Request for Court Judgment that corrects the defects identified in the Court’s March 2, 2023 Order.
Based on the foregoing, Plaintiff’s request is granted, and the Court will sign the proposed judgment submitted on February 24, 2023. No appearance at the hearing is necessary.¿

[1]The Court’s March 2, 2023 Order also provides, “Plaintiff may file a revised Form CIV-100 prior to the hearing, or, if the form is not filed prior to the hearing, by a date set by the Court at the hearing. Once the foregoing defects are corrected, the Court will grant Plaintiff’s request and will sign the proposed judgment.”
