ORDER RE: PLAINTIFF’S
REQUEST FOR DEFAULT JUDGMENT |

Plaintiff Kisha Harris (“Plaintiff”) appears to request entry of
default judgment against Defendant Lian Boyd (“Boyd”). The Court notes that the
request for court judgment filed on January 27, 2025 does not indicate that
Plaintiff seeks any amount of damages.
On November 19, 2024, the Court
issued an Order in this matter on Plaintiff’s prior request for default
judgment providing, inter alia, that “[a]s a threshold matter, the
docket for this action does not appear to show that the Clerk has entered
default against Boyd. Plaintiff’s latest request for entry of default against
Boyd appears to have been filed on October 22, 2024, and such request was rejected.
In light of the foregoing, Plaintiff’s apparent request for default judgment
against Boyd is denied.” (November 19, 2024 Order at p. 1:17-22.)
The Court notes that Plaintiff filed
another request for entry of default against Boyd on January 27, 2025, and such
request was also rejected.
In light of the foregoing,
Plaintiff’s apparent request for default judgment against Boyd is denied. The
Court sets ___________ as the last date for Plaintiff to file (1) a proof of
service that complies with the Notice of Rejection filed on February 3, 2025,
and (2) a new request for entry of default. The Court sets _____________ as a
status conference regarding entry of default as to Boyd. If default has been
entered as of that date, the Court will set a new date for the filing of the
default judgment package as to Boyd.
Plaintiff is ordered to give notice
of this ruling.
