Judge: Teresa A. Beaudet, Case: 22STCV33346, Date: 2023-03-08 Tentative Ruling
Case Number: 22STCV33346 Hearing Date: March 8, 2023 Dept: 50
|
LOS
ANGELES COUNTY METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY, Plaintiff(s), v. CENTURY CITY MALL, LLC., et al , Defendant(s). |
Case No.: 22STCV33346 DISCLOSURE
AND ORDER |
Judge Beaudet hereby discloses that her
IRA account holds 100 shares of stock in Howmet Aerospace Inc. valued at $4,335.00. Howmet was not identified as a defendant in
the complaint but it filed a disclaimer of interest on 3/6/23 indicating that
it was formerly known as Arconic which was formerly known as Alcoa Inc. which
was formerly known as Aluminum Company of America. The latter two entities were
named in the complaint. Because Howmet is disclaiming any interest in this
litigation, Judge Beaudet does not believe that her ownership in her IRA of the
Howmet stock requires her to recuse herself. Additionally, she does not believe
that her ownership in her IRA of the Howmet stock will cause her to be biased
for or against any party in this litigation. However, if you believe differently, you will have until April 6, 2023,
to file and serve a verified statement of disqualification per section CCP
170.3(c)(1) (the “Statement”). If you do
not file and serve a Statement, grounds for recusal will be deemed waived. The hearing on the Case Management Conference will be continued to April 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in
Department 50 unless all parties waive the right to file the Statement.
Plaintiff is ordered to give notice of this Disclosure to any new parties who
are added to the case and to file proof of service of same promptly after
service, with a courtesy copy delivered to Department
50. Any new party has
14 calendar days from the date of service to file and serve the Statement per
section CCP 170.3.
