Judge: Theodore R. Howard, Case: 20-1144956, Date: 2022-09-01 Tentative Ruling

Defendant Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America’s (“Allianz”) unopposed Motion for File Under Seal Allianz’s Motion for Good Faith Settlement is CONTINUED to 09/29/22.

Pursuant to CA ST TR COURT Rule 2.551(b)(4) and (d), the party requesting that a record be filed under seal must lodge it with the court unless either good cause exists for not lodging it or if the document has previously been filed with the court.  Allianz failed to lodge the proposed motion and supporting documents with the court, has provided no good cause for those documents not being lodged with the court and/or the record does not show those documents having previously been lodged with the court. 

The court continues this matter to 09/29/22 in order to permit Allianz to comply with the code requirements.  Allianz is ordered to lodge the proposed motion and supporting documents with the court no later than 09/08/22 and to comply with the requirements of the code.

No appearances necessary at the 09/01/22 hearing.
