The Court has reviewed the supplemental briefing filed in response to the previous minute order. The Court is inclined to GRANT the motion for preliminary approval of class action settlement based on the current settlement agreement (as amended) and the revised notice. However, before the Court can grant approval, counsel must clear up the issue of whom, exactly, is to be appointed class counsel. The notice of motion seeks appointment of the Aegis Law Group as a firm, while the settlement agreement identifies four specific attorneys as class counsel. Is the appointment intended to cover Aegis as a firm, or are the four identified attorneys to be appointed class counsel?

Assuming this question is addressed to the Court’s satisfaction, the Court intends to set a final approval hearing on January 12, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. and will ask Plaintiff to prepare a revised proposed order.
