Attorney Erica H. Spanton (“Applicant”) seeks admission to appear as counsel pro hac vice to represent Defendant City of Los Angles in this action alongside Susan E. Smith of Beveridge & Diamon, P.C., an active member of the State Bar of California. Applicant is a resident of Washington state and is a member in good standing and has not been suspended or disbarred by any court. (Spanton Decl. ¶ 5.) Applicant has appeared pro hac vice in California three (3) times in the past two years. (Spanton Decl. ¶ 6.) Applicant’s application complies with the requirements of California Rules of Court Rule 9.40, including service of the application and payment of the necessary fee on the State Bar of California.

 

Attorney James B. Slaughter (“Applicant”) seeks admission to appear as counsel pro hac vice to represent Defendant City of Los Angles in this action alongside Susan E. Smith of Beveridge & Diamon, P.C., an active member of the State Bar of California. Applicant is a resident of Maryland and is a member in good standing and has not been suspended or disbarred by any court. (Slaughter Decl. ¶ 4.) Applicant has appeared pro hac vice in California four (4) times in the past two years. (Slaughter Decl. ¶ 5.) Applicant’s application complies with the requirements of California Rules of Court Rule 9.40, including service of the application and payment of the necessary fee on the State Bar of California.

 

Based on the foregoing, the applications of Applicants are GRANTED. It is ordered that Erica H. Spanton and James B. Slaughter be admitted to appear as counsel pro hac vice for the purpose of representing Defendant in this action. Applicant shall be subject to all applicable rules of this Court.

 

Defendant City of Los Angeles shall give notice.
